Under the Pitched Roof | Residential

Houses in the Mid-West, like the houses in Northeast America, are usually design with pitched roof to confront the rain and snow. After years, with the upgrades of modern technology, the pitched roof is more recognized as a symbol, the unity of the neighborhoods and the communities.

The site is in the southern part of city of Chicago where the city is not so developed as the north. The new project is aiming at using the symbolic meaning of the pitched roof to restore the faith of the neighborhood to commit to the new life again.

The collection of the pitched roof houses represent a not only the home for individual families but also a new positive image for the community.
